Let me introduce myself. My name is Nora Reardon and I am a Massachusetts licensed riding instructor with many years of teaching experience. I am currently located at Canton Equestrian Center. You can find me there teaching lessons on most Saturdays or I can come out to your barn. I teach Centered Riding and hunter/jumpers and I love doing special events.
Some of the special events I offer are Boy Scouts, Boys and Girls Club of America, Adult Workshops, Pony Parties, Special Needs, Summer and School Vacation Programs, High Flyers 4-H Club and the Pegasus Club.
The High
Flyers 4-H Club is a structured club with an outline of events to help prepare for state and National competitions for children ages 518. The University of Massachusetts, Amherst, provides the curriculum of the Massachusetts 4-H Program. The different facets of 4-H are community service, character and leadership development, life and work skills, as well as skill development in science and technology. The children do this all while having fun learning about horses.
The Pegasus
Club is a monthly social club for the horse loving adult, ages 19 and older. The Pegasus Club came about because there were a number of adult lesson students who wished there was a 4-H club for adults. The adults also wanted a club to help them as riding students better their understanding and to gain more knowledge of horses. We have completed our second year and found it to be very successful and the third year is underway.
The clubs listed above are unmounted horse clubs for people of all ages who want to learn more about horses. Both clubs run from September to June and are always open to new members; it is never too late to join.
If you want to get involved in either of the clubs, or would like to schedule an appointment for a special event or any of the other programs, you can contact me on my cell phone at 617-875-0356 or send me an e-mail at info@abitofriding.com. Please be sure to visit the other pages of this site for a more in depth explanation of the programs I offer.
Best regards,
